I am interested in the experimentation and study of the potentiality of movement as a bodily practice. In the co-direction of the company La Malagua, I focus on possible relationships between the state of the body and spatiality, and the feeling of embodying a multiplicity of possible times. I defended my PhD in artistic research and creation with a thesis entitled,Building an intimate architecture: a research-creation on choreography as an extended field (Université de Lille, 2021). I graduated with a degree in choreography from the Choreographic Research Centre of the National Institute of Fine Arts in Mexico.
I currently reside in Lille, where I have been an associate artist at Théâtre de L’Oiseau Mouche for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons, an artist at Happynest #3 in 2019-2020, where I created my first choreographic solo piece, K( )SA(creation 2020).
I was also a scenic artist in residence Pas a Pas for DRAC Hauts-de-France at Le Vivat, during the 2018-2019 season. In January 2022, I created a second solo, KUXTÚ, and in July 2022, I created the site-specific piece « Cellules, kilomètres et ce qui nous manque » with 7 actors from the company Oiseau Mouche and 6 inhabitants of Roubaix, France, which was performed at Parc Barbieux. In 2014, I created a Choreographic Laboratory; a space for the transmission and exchange of choreographic practices and thoughts, that still functions in co-direction today. I share my expertise with several institutions, including the master’s and bachelor’s degree programs in dance at the University of Lille and the National Choreographic Development Centre at the Gymnase CDCN-Hauts de France.

Le travail de Scheherazade Zambrano, explore la potentialité du mouvement comme pratique corporelle. Au sein de la compagnie La Malagua, elle s’intéresse aux relations possibles entre l’état de corps et la spatialité, et au ressenti permettant d’incarner une multiplicité des temps. Elle a soutenu théoriquement et corporellement une thèse en recherche-création en arts intitulée Bâtir l’architecture intime : une recherche-création sur la chorégraphie comme champ expansé (Université de Lille, 2021).
Chorégraphe née au Mexique et résidant à Lille, elle est diplômée du Centre de Recherche Chorégraphique de l’Institut National des Beaux-Arts au Mexique. Artiste associée au Théâtre de L’Oiseau Mouche pour les saisons 2020-2021 et 2021-2022, artiste Happynest #3 en 2019-2020 pour la création de son premier solo chorégraphique K( )SA (création 2020) et artiste en résidence Pas à Pas de la DRAC Hauts-de-France au Vivat, scène conventionnée d’intérêt national art et création, pendant la saison 2018-2019. En janvier 2022, elle crée son deuxième solo, KUXTÚ, et en juillet de la même année elle crée à Roubaix le spectacle in situ « Cellules, kilomètres et ce qui nous manque » avec 7 comédien.ne.s de la compagnie de l’Oiseau Mouche et 6 amateurs.trices. Depuis 2014, avec sa compagnie La Malagua soutient un Laboratoire d’expérimentation chorégraphique comme espace de transmission et d’échange de pratiques et de réflexions chorégraphiques. Scheherazade intervient dans différentes institutions dont la licence et le Master en Danse de l’Université de Lille et le Gymnase CDCN-Hauts de France.

Me interesa explorar y estudiar la potencialidad del movimiento como una práctica corporal. En la codirección de la compañía La Malagua centro mi trabajo en la activación y en la reflexión sobre el resentir entre el estado del cuerpo, la espacialidad y la multiplicidad de tiempos posibles de encarnar. Defendí bailando, una tesis doctoral sobre Construir una arquitectura íntima: una investigación-creación sobre la coreografía como campo extendido (Université de Lille, 2021). En 2011, me gradué en coreografía por el Centro de Investigación Coreográfica del Instituto de Bellas Artes México. Actualmente resido en Lille, soy artista asociada del Théâtre de L’Oiseau Mouche durante las temporadas 2020-2021 y 2021-2022, fui artista Happynest #3 en 2019-2020 para la creación de mi primera pieza coreográfica K( )SA y artista escénica en residencia Pas à Pas de la DRAC Hauts-de-France de la Scène conventionnée d’intérêt national art et création Le Vivat, durante la temporada 2018-2019. En enero de 2022 creé un segundo solo, KUXTÚ, y en julio del mismo año estrenamos también la pieza in situ « Cellules, kilomètres et ce qui nous manque » con 7 actores de la compañía Oiseau Mouche y 6 habitantes de Roubaix, Francia. Desde 2014 en Lille, sostenemos un Laboratorio de experimentación coreográfica como un espacio de transmisión e intercambio de prácticas y de pensamiento coreográficos. Intervengo en varias instituciones, incluyendo la maestría y la licenciatura en danza de la Universidad de Lille y en el Centro de Desarrollo Coreográfico Nacional, el Gymnase CDCN-Hauts de France.
